Colonel Calixte was born in Nassau, Bahamas, and was raised in Miami, Florida. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in March 1989 and graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island as a meritorious Lance Corporal. As an enlisted Marine, he served in a variety of infantry and training assignments, including as a Scout Sniper Platoon Team Leader, Squad Instructor, and Platoon Sergeant, deploying in support of Operation Sharp Edge in Liberia and Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia, and completing a Unit Deployment Program tour to Okinawa, Japan. He rose through the enlisted ranks to Staff Sergeant before being selected for the Meritorious Commissioning Program in 2000.
Following his commissioning and graduation from The Basic School in 2001, then‑Second Lieutenant Calixte served in a range of logistics and operational billets of increasing responsibility, to include Truck Platoon Commander during Operations Iraqi Freedom I and II, Company Commander at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Logistics Officer for Marine Aircraft Group 31, and Assistant Operations Officer for U.S. Forces-Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He commanded Combat Logistics Battalion 31 from 2020 to 2022, leading the battalion through numerous Indo-Pacific exercises, including Noble Tempest, and most recently served as U.S. Forces, Japan J‑4 Director, where he coordinated bilateral logistics resources in support of U.S. and Japanese forces.
Colonel Calixte is a graduate of the National War College, the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Joint Forces Staff College, among other professional military schools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.
Colonel Calixte is married with two daughters.
